Japan: Tokyo Steel lifts rebar, beam prices for Mar’22 sales

Japan’s largest EAF-route steel producer, Tokyo Steel, has increased rebar and H-beam prices by JPY 3,000/t ($26/t) m-o-m but kept HRC prices stable for Mar’22 sales, sources informed SteelMint. The revised offers:

• Rebar (D13-D25): JPY 92,000/t ($800/t)
• H-beam: JPY 114,000 ($992/t)

Increased raw material costs amidst higher scrap prices on lower generation and demand recovery have pushed steel prices higher.
