Japan: Tokyo Steel keeps scrap purchase prices unchanged across regions except Kansai

Tokyo Steel revised its scrap purchase prices effective 8 Jan’26, marking the first revision of the year after the previous update on 27 Dec’25. Prices remain unchanged for all plants except the Kansai region, while price revisions are suspended at Takamatsu.

• Kyushu, Tokyo Bay: JPY 44,500/t ($284/t).
• Tahara, Okayama, Nagoya: JPY 44,000/t ($281/t).
• Utsunomiya, Kansa: JPY 43,500/t ($278/t).
• Takamatsu: JPY 39,500/t ($252/t).
