Japan’s Tokyo Steel has adjusted scrap procurement prices for the second time this month, with the previous revision having occurred on 10 Oct. Prices remain steady at all plants, except for Kyushu, where they rose by JPY 1,000/t ($6/t), effective 29 Oct’24. Post-revision, plant-wise H2 scrap prices stood at:
- Tahara, Okayama, Utsunomiya, Kyushu: JPY 41,500/t ($270/t)
- Kansai: JPY 40,500/t ($264/t)
- Nagoya, Takamatsu: JPY 40,000/t ($261/t)
