Japan: Tokyo Steel increases scrap purchase price for the seventh time in December

Japan’s leading EAF mill- Tokyo Steel has raised scrap purchase price upto JPY 2,000/t for all works. The company would pay JPY 40,000/t ($386) for H2-scrap delivered at Tahara and JPY 36,000/t ($348) for Utsunomiya works, effective from tomorrow (17th Dec’20). Prices for Tahara are highest since Sep’17, as per data maintained with SteelMint.
