Japan’s leading EAF mill- Tokyo Steel has declared a price hike for scrap purchase price today by JPY 500/t ($5) for all five works. Revised offers will be effective from tomorrow (1st Dec’20). The company would pay JPY 32,500/t ($312) for H2-scrap delivered to Tahara and JPY 29,000/t ($278) for Utsunomiya works. This is the company’s seventh price hike announcement made in Nov’20.
