Tokyo Steel has cut its scrap purchase price at Utsunomiya works by JPY500/t ($5/t) from 25 June’20, just after sharp fall in Japanese export prices to Korean mills, after hiking the same by a total of JPY7000/t ($63/t) over last one month. The company will pay JPY 26,000/t for H2 delivered to Utsunomiya, while keeping the bids for other 4-works unchanged.
