Tokyo Steel has observed another price hike for its scrap purchase price, increasing bids by JPY 500/t ($5/t) for Tahara, Kyushu, and Utsunomiya plant, w.e.f 8th Aug ’20. Prices to Okayama and Takamatsu works have been kept unchanged. Company will now pay JPY 23,000/t for H2-scrap delivered to Tahara plant, JPY 24,000/t to Kyushu-works, and JPY 23,500/t to Utsunomiya plant.
