Tokyo Steel today observed third price hike for scrap purchase in just one week, increasing bids by JPY 1000/MT for Tahara plant and JPY 500/MT for the other four, from 29th May’20. They will pay JPY 21,500/MT (USD 199) for H2 delivered to Tahara (Central Japan) and JPY 20,500/MT and JPY 19,500/MT to Utsunomiya (Kanto) and Okayama works respectively.
