Japan: Tokyo Steel cuts scrap purchase prices by JPY 500/t ($3/t) at Kansai plant

Tokyo Steel has announced scrap purchase price revision for the first time this month, effective 20 Aug’25.
In this latest round, the company reduced prices by JPY 500/t ($3/t) at its Kansai plant, while rates at other plants remained unchanged.
Post-revision, H2 scrap prices are as follows: Kansai: JPY 39,500/t ($267/t)
