- Tokyo Steel has revised scrap purchase prices for the third time this month, effective 27 Aug’25.
- In this latest round, the company reduced prices by JPY 500/t ($3/t) at its Okayama, Kansai, and Takamatsu plants, while rates at other plants remained unchanged. Post-revision, H2 scrap prices were as follows:
- Okayama, Kansai: JPY 39,000/t ($264/t)
- Takamatsu: JPY 37,000/t ($250/t)
