Tokyo Steel has announced another scrap purchase price revision for the second time this month, effective 10 Jul’25. In this latest round, the company reduced prices by JPY 500/t ($3/t) at its Utsunomiya and Tokyo Bay satellite yard, while rates at other plants remained unchanged. Post-revision, H2 scrap prices are as follows:
- Utsunomiya: JPY 40,000/t ($273/t)
- Tokyo Bay satellite yard: JPY 40,500/t ($276/t)
