- Japan’s major EAF steelmaker Tokyo Steel has decreased scrap purchase prices after a gap of almost two months.
- The company lowered bids for H2 scrap by JPY 1,000/t ($7/t) for one of its plants, effective 22 Sept.
- After the adjustment, bid prices for H2 scrap stand at JPY 50,000/t ($348/t) delivered to the Tahara plant, while prices for other works remained unchanged.
