Japan: Tokyo Steel cuts ferrous scrap buy prices by up to $8/t

Japan’s major EAF steelmaker, Tokyo Steel, has lowered ferrous scrap procurement prices by up to JPY 1,000/t ($8/t) for all plants, effective 29 Mar’23.
After the revision, prices for H2 scrap stand at JPY 53,000/t ($402/t), delivered to the Tahara, Utsunomiya, and Okayama plants.
