Tokyo Steel has announced a further reduction in domestic scrap procurement prices effective from 4 Sep’24. The company has lowered prices by JPY 500/t ($3/t) at its Tahara, Nagoya, Kyushu, Kansai, Takamatsu, Okayama, and Utsunomiya plants. Additionally, the prices at the Tahara, Kyushu, Kansai and Okayama plants are JPY 45,500/t ($311/t), while prices at Nagoya, Takamatsu, Utsunomiya are JPY 44,500/t ($305/t).
