Japan Steel has begun sales of alloy 825 thick plates from Jan’26, expanding its stainless and nickel alloy portfolio, to cater to demand from chemical and LNG projects, especially in India and the Middle East. The corrosion-resistant grade, available in 6-30 mm thickness and up to 3,000 mm width and compliant with ASTM/ASME UNS N08825 and JIS NCF825, is produced at the Hachiman Thick Plate Factory.
