Japan: Steel billet exports rise over 10% m-o-m in October

Japan’s steel billets exports lifted up by 13.32% m-o-m to 209,968 t in Oct’22 from 185,291 t in Sept’22, as per Customs data.
South Korea was the largest importer at 98,791 t followed by Taiwan and Thailand at 50,188 t and 25,600 t, respectively.
Export volumes fell by 12.7% y-o-y to 2.34 mnt in Jan-Oct’22 as against 2.68 mnt in the year-ago period.
