Japan: Steel billets exports fall by 7%, m-o-m, in Mar’22

Japan’s steel billets exports fell by 7.46% in Mar’22 to 0.22 mnt compared with 0.24 mnt in Feb’22, as per customs data.
South Korea was the largest importer with 0.11 mnt, followed by Thailand and Taiwan with 0.05 mnt and 0.04 mnt, respectively.
Also, export volumes fell significantly by 14% on year to stand at 0.67 mnt in Jan-Mar’22 as against 0.79 mnt in the same period last year.
