Japan: Silico manganese imports rise 10% y-o-y in Jan-Sep’22

Japan’s silico manganese imports rose by 10% y-o-y to 205,710 t in Jan-Sep’22 compared to 187,311 in Jan-Sep’21.
India was the largest exporter at 106,865 t, up 26% y-o-y in the period under review. Following this were Vietnam at 46,919 t and Malaysia at 24,147 t.
The country’s silico manganese imports in Sep’22 were stable m-o-m at 23,175 t as against 23,095 t in Aug’22.
