Japan: NSSC cuts stainless steel prices sharply by up to $297/t in Aug’22

Nippon Stainless Steel Corporation (NSSC), the largest stainless steel manufacturer in Japan, adjusted the price of 300 series and heavy plate stainless steel for Aug, as per SteelDaily reports.
The price of 300 series and heavy plate stainless steel has been cut by JPY 40,000/t ($297/t) following the downtrend in LME nickel prices since May. Price of 400 series have been reduced by JPY 5,000/t ($37/t).
