Nippon Steel Stainless Steel (NSSC) has reduced prices of nickel-based cold-rolled thin sheets by JPY 5,000/t ($31/t), effective for Jan’25 contracts, reversing last month’s JPY 5,000/t ($31/t) price increase. This adjustment is due to lower LME nickel prices and a weakened yen. While domestic demand is expected to stay strong, the construction industry is facing labour shortages.
