Nippon Steel has announced a 15% price increase for stainless steel products for May shipments, citing rising raw material and production costs along with the depreciation of the yen and increased energy, electricity, and logistics costs. The price hike will apply to all stainless steel produced at the Naoetsu area of East Japan Works, including angles, channels, flat bars, and rolled H-shaped steels.
