Japan: Nippon Steel resumes another blast furnace at Kashima works

Japan’s largest steelmaker – Nippon Steel Corporation has resumed blast furnace No.1 at its Kashima area, East Japan Works, in response to recovering steel demand, mainly from automotive sector. Prior to this, it had restarted a blast furnace at Kimitsu works in Nov ’20.
