Japan’s Nippon Steel Corporation has announced that the the restart of its No. 3 blast furnace at the Nagoya Works, currently under renovation, will be postponed. The company considered delaying restart for three weeks owing to the delay in recovery of demand of automotive steel sheets. The prolonged semiconductor shortage and other factors have created uncertainty in auto demand, thereby impacting steel demand.
