Japanese steel major, Nippon Steel, announced on 15 Feb’22 that it has obtained ‘EcoLeaf’ environmental clearance label for its structural steel plates. Currently, the company has 22 registrations of the label for most of its products including H-beams, tin and steel pipes for oil wells.
With the recent registration for structural steel, the company has expanded the use of label in its structural heavy plate products primarily consumed by shipbuilding, wind power, construction and industrial machinery sectors.
About EcoLeaf:
‘EcoLeaf’ is an environmental label certified by the Sustainability Promotion Organisation which evaluates the environmental load including the carbon dioxide emissions throughout the process from procurement of raw material to disposal and recycling of finished products.
