Nippon Steel has kept its stainless steel prices unchanged for April, following a sustained uptrend in 300-series prices over the past six months, with cumulative gains of JPY 65,000/t ($410/t). Despite a 2.1% m-o-m decline in nickel costs to $7.76/lb, pricing was held steady, while chromium costs for the 400 series remained unchanged for a fifth consecutive month at $1.63/lb.
