JFE Steel plans to install large-scale electric furnaces at its steelworks located in Kurashiki area in a bid to reduce carbon dioxide emissions in steel making process. The volume of electric furnace is around 4,100 cubic meters and will be introduced in 2027. The output is estimated to be more than 7,000 tonnes per day.
