Japan: Iron ore imports fall 17%, m-o-m, in Jun’22

Japan’s iron ore imports fell by 17% m-o-m to 7.88 mnt in Jun’22 from 9.55 mnt in May’22, as per customs data.
Australia was the largest exporter with 4.58 mnt, followed by Brazil and Canada with 2.16 mnt and 0.62 mnt, respectively.
Import volumes fell marginally by 3% to 54.43 mnt in Jan-Jun’22 as against 55.9 mnt in the year-ago period.
