Japan: Flat steel exports jump almost 10%, y-o-y, in CY’21

Flat steel exports by Japan stood at 25.03 mnt in CY’21, an increase of 9% against 23.04 mnt a year ago, SteelMint data shows. HRC and plates topped the list in exports with a combined volume of 13.35 mnt followed by electrical and galvanised steels at 5.81 and 2.71 mnt, respectively.

Thailand, China and South Korea were the leading importers from Japan.
