Japan flat steel exports down 3% M-o-M to 3.26 MnT in Nov’16
According to the Japan customs data, flat steel exports which includes HR coils, CRC and plates reported a decline of 3% M-o-M to 3.26 MnT in Nov’16 against Oct’16 which stood at 3.37 MnT.
On yearly basis, nation’s flat steel exports moved up marginally by 0.6% compared to 3.24 MnT in Nov’15.
During the time frame of Jan-Nov of 2016, Japan’s flat steel export fell slightly by 0.55% to 37.83 MnT against 38.04 MnT in the same time period of previous year.
Japan flat steel imports up 5% in Nov’16
Japan’s flat steel imports increased by 5.2%, M-o-M basis in Nov’16 to 0.40 MnT as compared to 0.38 MnT in Oct’16.
If Y-o-Y comparison is made, then country’s flat steel imports surged 11% in Nov’16 against previous year. In Nov’15 the same stood at 0.36 MnT.
In the eleven months (Jan-Nov) of 2016, Japan’s flat steel imports fell marginally by 0.75% to 3.93 MnT against 3.96 MnT in corresponding time frame of previous year.
