Japan: Flat steel exports down 5%, m-o-m, in Oct’21

Flat steel exports from Japan dropped by 5% to 2.04 mn t in Oct’21 from 2.15 mn t in Sep’21, as per SteelMint data.

Product-wise break up (m-o-m comparison)

• HRC exports down 7% to 1.05 mn t
• CRC exports at 0.16 mn t, down 9%
• Galvanised and electrical steel exports stood at 0.28 mn t and 0.48 mn t, respectively.
• Pipes and tubes exports rise by 12% to 0.09 mn t
