Japan: Finished flat steel exports drop 3% on month in Aug’21

Japan’s flat steel exports stood at 2.16 mn t in Aug’21 as against 2.22 mn t in Jul.

• HRC/plate exports stood at 1.15 mn t, down 4% on month
• CRC exports were at 0.17 mn t, lower by 7% on month.
• Galvanised and electrical steel exports slide 1% and 5%, respectively, m-o-m.
• Pipes and tubes exports increased by 33%, m-o-m.
