Japan: Ferrous scrap exports marginally up by 5% in Oct’22

Japan’s scrap exports were slightly up by 5% to 634,775 t in Oct’22 compared to 606,250 t in Sept, as per SteelMint data.
South Korea continued to be the largest importer at 281,653 t followed by Vietnam and Taiwan at 140,443 t and 62,772 t, respectively.
A total volume of 5.17 mnt has been exported by Japan during Jan-Oct’22, which is 15% less as compared to CPLY.
