Japan: Ferrous scrap exports increase by 11% m-o-m in Dec’20

Japan – the world’s leading ferrous scrap supplier witnessed a significant rise by 11% m-o-m and stood at 0.73 mn t in Dec’20, as per data recorded with SteelMint. Vietnam remained the largest buyer, followed by South Korea and Bangladesh. Vietnamese scrap buyers were actively restocking scrap cargoes on improved billet demand.
