Japan: Ferrous scrap exports down by nearly 25% in Nov’22

Japan’s scrap exports were down by 24% to 480,617 t in Nov’22 compared to 634,775t in Oct, as per SteelMint data.
South Korea continued to be the largest importer at 265,725 t followed by Taiwan and Vietnam at 67,486 t and 59,138 t, respectively.
A total volume of 5.65 mnt has been exported by Japan during Jan-Nov’22, which is 14% less as compared to the CPLY.
