According to the Japanese customs, the country has witnessed a substantial increase of 75% M-o-M in its Ferro Alloy imports.
In Oct’17, Japan imported a total of 0.21 MnT Ferro Alloys against 0.12 MnT in Sep’17. Moreover, on yearly basis, there has been an increase of 50% as Japan imported 0.14 MnT in Oct’16.
In Oct’17, Japan imported 0.08 MnT of Ferro Chrome, 0.04 MnT Ferro Silicon and 0.08 MnT Manganese Ore. Japan registered a mammoth increase of 300% M-o-M in its Manganese Ore imports. The import volume of Ferro Chrome was 0.08 MnT in Oct’17 compared to 0.07 MnT in Sep’17, whereas Japan imported 0.04 MnT Ferro Silicon in Oct’17 against 0.03 MnT in Sep’17.
South Africa remained the largest exporter of Ferro Alloys to Japan at 0.09 MnT, witnessing an massive increase of 200% M-o-M. Australia took over Kazakhstan to become the second largest exporter to Japan in Oct’17 at 0.04 MnT, while Kazakhstan and China exported 0.02 MnT each.
