According to data from China Special Steel Enterprises, Japan’s production of cold-rolled (CR) stainless steel flat products stood at 651,149 t, an increase of 9.8% y-o-y. Chromium series stainless steel output was 311,877 t in H1 CY’21, up nearly 14.5% on the year. Production of chromium-nickel series stood at 214,875 t, while chromium-nickel-molybdenum series stainless steel production stood at 14,264 t, lower by 3% y-o-y.
