Cold-rolled thin stainless steel plate prices in Japan increased by JPY 20,000/t ($154/t), as per Japan Metal Daily reports. The market price is around JPY 520,000/t ($3992/t) for SUS304 grade. Prices rose owing to high raw material prices due to the stainless steel production shortage in the domestic market and bullish nickel prices on the London Metal Exchange.
