Japan: Bids edge down at Kansai scrap export tender for March

Japan’s Kansai-Cheorwon scrap export tender for Mar’22 was concluded recently, sources informed SteelMint. The loading period is from 22 Mar-April’22.
The winning bid was awarded a total of 5,100 t of mainly Japanese H2 scrap at an average price of JPY 62,810/t ($531/t) FAS.
Notably, bids in Kansai rose by $39/t as against bids on 15 Feb and fell by $5/t as against the Kanto tender for March concluded last week.
