The premium for aluminium shipments to Japan for Oct-Dec’22 has settled at $99/t, down 33% as against the last quarter. Weak demand saw the premium sinking below $100/t for the first time in two years, as per Japan Metal Daily. Producers have offered Japanese buyers premiums of $115-$133/t for Oct-Dec, although the price was down more than 10% from the previous quarter’s $148/t.
