Japan’s Aichi Steel has invested JPY 1 billion ($9 million) in renovating stainless steel electric furnace at its Chita Plant in Aichi Prefecture. This upgrade will increase the company’s producton and supply capacity by 40% to 90,000/t annum by FY26 and optimise the raw material blending ratio by expanding the furnace volume and updating the control system.
