According to the provisional data released by Italian Customs, Italy’s flat steel exports have been increased by 10% to 0.54 MnT in Sep’16 against last year. In Sep’15 the same was recorded at 0.49 MnT.
If monthly comparison is done, then the country’s flat steel exports have witnessed the significant growth of 42% in Sep’16 as compared to 0.38 MnT in Aug’16.
During the first nine months (Jan-Sep) of 2016, Italy’s flat steel exports shipped 4.47MnT of flat steel, down by 4% to 4.64 MnT in same time period of 2015.
Grade wise Exports:
In Sep’16 ;7208(HR coils, Plate) fell by 5.2%,Y-o-Y basis to 0.18 MnT against 0.19 MnT in Sep’15.Whereas 7209 (CR coils) also moved down by 25% to 0.05 MnT in Sep’16 as compared to 0.04 MnT in last year.

Italy’s Top 5 Flat steel Exporting countries:
The foremost buyer is Germany which has shipped 0.14 MnT followed by France, Poland and Spain.
