Iron Pellets offers from major producers in the country have less chances of any fluctuation in the days ahead.
“It is being difficult to sell out Iron Pellets at prices quoted in the range of Rs 8,500-8,700/MT (Basic) at Tatanagar, Jamshedpur as most of the sponge iron plants have already taken a shut down and offers might not rise anytime soon”, said a senior official.
Supply of Iron Pellets might come down on account of iron ore fines unavailability in the domestic market.
It is heard that 40,000 tons of Pellets has been imported at offers standing around $150/MT CFR in the country from Australian producers and imports does have some scope in the near future if demand and supply gap grows in domestic market.
