One of the manufacturer that had been offering discounts on bulk quantities has withdrawn the same and lowered offers.
“Pellet prices are holding up in a range for the last few weeks.
It is not feasible to pull down prices further from the present levels as it would not be workable for us.
Though, there are hardly many buyers in market interested to procure the raw material, offering cheaper Pellets will result in an option only i.e. to shut down the units.
Prices are expected to remain more or less in the same range further.
The next two months do not look very promising for trades in Pellets as monsoon is to impact off take of the raw material.
September is expected to meet with actual improvement in terms of consumption”, said Karnataka based Pellet producers.
Tatanagar (Jamshedpur):
Pellet prices remain firm at Rs 7,200/MT (ex works) for the current week as trading activities have not been encouraging to support any movement in offers.
