Iron Ore rake movement suspended in Odisha for exports

The movement of wagons, both empty and loaded, have remained suspended in iron ore rich Joda-Barbil area in Odisha since friday following agitation by truck owners.

They are protesting against the Odisha Government's decision on clamping restriction on the movement of goods vehicles carrying exports and instead favouring larger rail movement.

“This is unfair to issue permits for rake movement and not for truck movement.” said an official of truck association in Joda (Odisha).
