Iron Ore Prices in Odisha – Updates

Iron ore prices in Odisha have witnessed reduction since end of last week (i.e. week 46). Odisha based merchant miners have been seen reducing prices of both lump and fines.

Following the suit, two more Odisha miners have reduced iron ore lump & fines prices. KJS Ahluwalia has cut lump prices by INR 200-300/MT and fines prices by INR 150/MT. Kaypee Enterprises has reduced lump prices by INR 300-350/MT and fines prices by INR 150/MT.

Merchant miners in Odisha have been asked to raise iron ore dispatches in order to achieve the laid target. Iron ore dispatches from Odisha in Oct’15 stood at 4.5 MnT against 3.98 MnT in Sept’15 (figures excluding captive supply from SAIL and Tata Steel).

Among the merchant iron ore suppliers in Odisha, Serajuddin Mines remained the largest supplier at 1.08 MnT followed by Rungta Mines at 0.80 MnT and Indrani Patnaik at 0.49 MnT.
