“Iron Ore Pellets was offered at Rs 8,800/MT in the mid of Oct and in around 10 to 12 days time, have witnessed a hike of Rs 700/MT.
We are supplying Pellets at Rs 9,500/MT (Basic) presently. Less availability and low production of Pellets and limited supply of fines in Odisha pushed up Pellets price”, said Mr. Ravi Kumar Bihani, Assistant General Manager (AGM) for Marketing at Sarda Energy & Minerals Ltd in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
He also shared that the company has sold 32,000 tons this month and is hopeful to receive orders of 8,000 tons more by Oct end.
Prices might stabilize at current levels as NMDC is expected to lower iron ore lumps prices by 5-10% in 1st week of Nov.
