Iron ore Pellet makers raise offers up to Rs 400/MT this week, as mentioned below.
Raipur Rs 400/MT to Rs 9,000/MT, Keonjhar (Ardent Steel Ltd) Rs 300/MT to Rs 7,500/MT, Barbil (Arya Iron & Steel Ltd and another major Pellet maker) Rs 200/MT to Rs 7,500-600/MT (Fe 63%+, CCS 250, F.O.R Barbil siding).
Rise in finished steel and sponge iron prices, demand from sponge iron units, low availability of iron ore and high prices of good quality iron ore offered by NMDC in e-auctions resulted in upward movement of Pellet offers.
A Pellet making plant in Raipur is currently looking at dispatches of previous orders and taking no new bookings.
In the week ahead, Pellet might be traded at higher price provided demand continues to be good.
