As per the data by IMIDRO, Major Iranian steelmakers exported around 858,974 MT of Steel during second month of current Persian year (21 Mar-21 May’18). Export increased by around 36% Y-o-Y against 631,598 MT exported last year in same period. Cumulatively the total export in two months stood at 1,279,918 MT by registering a growth of 25% Y-o-Y.
Khouzestan Steel Company (KSC) Export Increases by 23% Y-o-Y
Khouzestan Steel Company (KSC) was the largest exporter during the period, the company exported around 359,470 MT steel during the second month of current Persian year. The company registered a growth of around 23% Y-o-Y against 292,252 MT steel exported last year same period.
Slab has the major share in KSC’s export, the company exported 206,780 MT during the second month of current Persian year, registered a growth of 103% Y-o-Y. Other major product exported by KSC during the period were billet and bloom. The company exported 73,188 MT and 79,502 MT respectively.
Cumulatively during the two months, KSC exported 209,774 MT slab, 148,527 MT bloom and 132,981 MT billets.
MSC Export Increases by 73% Y-o-Y
Mobarakeh Steel Company, one of the largest steel producer together with its subsidiary company Saba steel has exported 203,128 MT steel during the second month of current Persian year including hot and cold-rolled, acid-washed, tin-plated, coated, Carved HR Plate and Sheet and galvanized flat steel. Export during the period was up by 128% Y-o-Y. Cumulatively during the two months, MSC exported 241,910 MT up by 73% Y-o-Y.
Hormozgan Steel Company exported around 70,884 MT in second month, down by 27% Y-o-Y. The company only exported slab during the period. Cumulatively HOSCO exported 115,628 MT during the year.
ESCO Exports Increases by 96% Y-o-Y
Esfahan Steel Company (ESCO) steel export increased by 96% Y-o-Y. The company exported 137,892 MT steel during second month of current Persian year, mainly rebar (23,121 MT), beam (13,668 MT), Wire Rod (6,271 MT) and other steel (94,832 MT).
South Kaveh Steel (SKSCO), exported 20,000 MT DRI
South Kaveh steel (SKSCO) exported 47,000 MT steel during second month of current Persian year. Major products exported by SKSCO includes billet (27,000 MT) and DRI (20,000 MT).
Among other major exporters of steel during the period, Khorasan Steel exported around 19,588 MT rebar during the period, Iran Alloy Steel Co. exported 16,822 MT rebar in current Persian year and Oxin Steel exported 4,190 MT steel in second month of current Persian year.
