Iran’s finished steel output drops 10% in first half of Persian year

Total production of steel products in Iran decreased by 10% to 9.28 mn t compared to 10.29 mn t recorded in the same period last year, as per data accessed by SteelMint. The key reason for the sharp decline in the country’s steel production this summer was power outage faced by the steel companies in the Islamic Republic in the second quarter (Jul-Sep’21).
