Esfahan Steel (ESCO), one of the largest producer and exporter of billet and finished long steel of Iran has concluded an export deal of 70,000 MT billet at USD 499/MT for May’18 shipment. The destination of shipment is GCC.
ESCO, earlier in Jan’18 had canceled tender for export of 30,000 MT billet for second half of Mar’18 delivery. As per market sources ” ESCO had cancelled its tender owing to low bids, company was expecting around USD 500-505/MT FOB Iran whereas, the highest bid offered was USD 495/MT FOB Iran”.
On parallel line Iran’s Khouzestan Steel Company, has invited bid for sale of 30,000 MT steel billet in Iran for mid/end Apr’18 shipment. The due date for bid submission is expiring today i.e. 19 Feb’18 till 18:00 hrs Iranian Standard Time via email.
As per Planner “Prices are on upward trend since scrap prices have gained momentum. Prices of scraped reached USD 355/MT CFR Turkey, which means there is an increase of USD 2/MT as compared to deals happened last week.
ESCO Exports Shoot Up by 98% Y-o-Y
Esfahan Steel Company (ESCO) steel export risen by 95% Y-o-Y. The company exported 920,584 MT steel in current Persian year, mainly rebar (116,998 MT), beam (86,033 MT), Wire Rod (53,599 MT) and other steel (663,954 MT).
